PHT MDFR MOU

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue Department (MDFR) and The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (operating Jackson Health System, including Ryder Trama Center) are entering a no-cost Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Advance Tactical Medical (ATM) Training for all MDFR paramedics. The training includes classroom education, cadaver workshops, and hands-on patient care with trauma teams. The MOU is for five years with two five-year renewal options. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The Board is expected to approve the resolution authorizing the County Mayor or designee to execute the MOU.
