PHT MDFR MOU

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR) and the Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (operating Jackson Health System) are entering into a no-cost Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Advance Tactical Medical (ATM) Training for all MDFR paramedics. The training, which includes classroom education, cadaver workshops, and hands-on patient care at the Ryder Trama Center, aims to enhance paramedics' skills in trauma care and high-acuity medicine. The MOU has an initial term of five years with two five-year renewal options. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to approve the resolution authorizing the County Mayor or designee to execute the MOU.
