Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to authorize an additional five years and $184,000,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. FB-01645P, Rail/Mover Parts and Services, for the Department of Transportation and Public Works. This extension aims to ensure the continued maintenance and operational readiness of the Metrorail and Metromover systems by providing access to necessary equipment, components, parts, and maintenance services. The total modified cumulative pool amount would be $297,621,000.00. The pool was originally established on October 5, 2021, and expires on October 31, 2026. The extension would make the pool expire on October 31, 2031. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00 requires Board ratification. The pool currently has 37 active pre-qualified vendors, including 11 with local addresses, two of which are certified Small Business Enterprise firms. Outreach efforts have been conducted to identify additional qualified vendors, including for aftermarket parts.
