Miami-Dade County is declaring specific firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to Vinícola Del Norte S.A. in the Dominican Republic. The equipment, including 35 coats, 35 pants, 35 hoods, 35 sets of gloves, 35 pairs of boots, 35 helmets, and 35 ear flaps, is deemed obsolete. The County Commission will waive standard surplus property disposition procedures by a two-thirds vote. The Donee is responsible for all transfer costs and must take possession within 90 days. The Safety and Health Committee recommended forwarding this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
