Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to amend Resolution No. R-38-26. This amendment will approve the terms of and authorize the County Mayor or their designee to execute a Revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) and the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County (PAMDC). The original MOA, approved on January 21, 2026, allowed for the sharing of certain Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program participant and landlord information. The Revised Agreement clarifies and expands the categories of documents and information HCD must provide to PAMDC, specifies required documentation, timelines, and transmission formats, and revises the hold harmless and indemnification section. It also incorporates legal opinions from HUD's Office of General Counsel and relevant HUD directives. The purpose is to aid property assessment and compliance by verifying the nature and occupancy status of residential rental properties, while safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
