SMART CORRIDOR SUBZONE OF RTZ

Miami-Dade County is expanding the SMART Corridor Subzone of the Rapid Transit Zone (RTZ) to include private property located at 2640 SW 28 Lane, Folio Number 01-4115-008-3250. This property is within a quarter mile of the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station and will be under the County's exclusive regulatory jurisdiction. The ordinance passed its second reading and was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The Transportation Committee noted no public comments during its hearing. The BCC adopted the ordinance on first reading on April 21, 2026. The ordinance is expected to be effective ten days after enactment.
