Miami-Dade County is approving an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. Under this agreement, Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029) towards services provided by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC). Broward County will retain and supervise ISC on behalf of Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. The agreement was recommended favorably by the Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee on June 9, 2026, and is before the Board of County Commissioners on July 21, 2026. The previous ILA expired on September 30, 2026. The ISC's work supports regional resilience, including projects like the C-51 Reservoir and Coral Reef Conservation Area.
