Miami-Dade County is approving an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. This agreement involves Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029), with $95,000 allocated annually. Broward County will retain and supervise the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) on behalf of all four counties. The ISC provides services related to the Compact. The agreement replaces a previous one that expired on September 30, 2026. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute the agreement, approve extensions, and select Miami-Dade representatives to the Compact Leadership Committee. The Department of Environmental Resources Management will monitor the agreement.
