Miami-Dade County is reporting on job classifications where active-duty military experience can substitute for traditional college degree requirements. The People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) identified 485 job classifications within the classified service system where this substitution is feasible, and an additional 683 classified service job classifications that do not require a college degree. This initiative aligns with the County's commitment to valuing practical experience and transferable skills to attract and retain a skilled workforce.
