Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for a Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund Trip and Equipment Grant Agreement with the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (FCTD). The agreement, for Fiscal Year 2026-27, is for an amount up to $8,000,000.00 in grant funding, with a required 10 percent local matching fund of $888,889.00. The total project cost is not to exceed $8,888,889.00. The funds will be used by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) to provide pre-loaded EASY Cards/Tickets to transportation disadvantaged recipients, offering various transit pass options. This is a continuation of a program DTPW has participated in with FCTD for over 30 years. The agreement is effective from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
