AMENDING DEED RE BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is authorizing an amended and restated county deed for three properties (Folio Nos. 10-7813-050-0380, 30-5032-000-0370, and 30-5032-000-0380) to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc. This action allows for the conveyance of these properties to Javon Gardens LLC, a joint venture between Building Better Communities and Pyramid Construction. Additionally, it grants a two-year extension, until July 29, 2028, for Building Better Communities to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units intended for very low, low, or moderate-income households. The original purpose was single-family homes, but it was amended to multi-family rental units. The justification for the extension includes uncontrollable delays and the inability of Building Better Communities to secure financing independently. The Board of County Commissioners forwarded this matter with a favorable recommendation from the Housing Committee.
