AMENDING DEED RE BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to authorize amended and restated county deeds for three properties (Folio Nos. 10-7813-050-0380, 30-5032-000-0370, and 30-5032-000-0380). The resolution permits Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc. to convey these properties to its affiliate, Javon Gardens LLC (a joint venture with Pyramid Construction). It also grants a two-year extension, until July 29, 2028, for obtaining final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units intended for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The original purpose was single-family homes under the Infill Housing Program, but this was changed to multi-family rental units by a prior resolution (R-124-24). The extension is granted due to uncontrollable delays in completing surveys and the inability of Building Better Communities to secure financing independently. The Housing Committee forwarded this to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
