Housing Committee · 2026-06-09 · resolution

Miami-Dade County is approving its Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Action Plan, which allocates $22,607,018.07 in federal funds for community development. This includes $12,657,029.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4,722,449.45 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $1,096,830.00 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The plan also involves substantial amendments to previous Consolidated Plans to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 of CDBG funds, $694.09 of ESG funds, $2,211.55 of CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 of ESG-CV funds. The funds will support public services, economic development, housing, and public facilities and capital improvement activities, primarily benefiting low- to moderate-income residents. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to submit the plan to HUD, recapture funds from stalled activities, allocate funds to eligible applicants, and execute necessary agreements. Public notices for the Request for Applications (RFA) were published starting January 5, 2026, with public meetings held in January 2026. The RFA application deadline was March 4, 2026. A correction was made to an RFA item regarding the Allapattah community resource center facility improvement, changing the district from 2 to 3. No specific project addresses or parcel information are detailed in this legislative matter, as it pertains to the overall allocation and amendment of federal grant funds.
