FY 2026 ACTION PLAN
Housing Committee · 2026-06-09 · resolution
Miami-Dade County is approving its Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Action Plan, which includes funding recommendations totaling $12,657,029.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4,722,449.45 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $1,096,830.00 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The plan also involves substantial amendments to previous Consolidated Plans and Action Plans to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 of CDBG funds, $694.09 of ESG funds, $2,211.55 of CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 of ESG-CV funds. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to submit the plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), recapture unused funds, allocate funds to public service, economic development, housing, and public facilities/capital improvement activities, and execute necessary agreements. The funding is intended to benefit low- to moderate-income residents and neighborhoods across the county, addressing critical needs such as social services, small business assistance, housing rehabilitation, homelessness assistance, and park improvements. Public notices for the Request for Applications (RFA) were published starting January 5, 2026, with public meetings held in January 2026. A 30-day public comment period for the FY 2026 Action Plan ran from May 21, 2026, to June 22, 2026. A scrivener's error regarding an Allapattah community resource center facility improvement was corrected, changing the district from 2 to 3. No due diligence issues were reported for applicants.
