Miami-Dade County is approving its Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Action Plan, allocating $22,607,018.07 in federal funds for community development. This includes $12,657,029.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4,722,449.45 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $1,096,830.00 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The plan also involves substantial amendments to previous Consolidated Plans to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 of CDBG funds, $694.09 of ESG funds, $2,211.55 of CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 of ESG-CV funds. Funds will be used for public services, economic development, housing, and public facilities/capital improvements, primarily benefiting low- to moderate-income residents. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to submit the plan to HUD, recapture unused funds, allocate funds to eligible activities, and execute necessary agreements. The plan is countywide in scope. Public notices for the Request for Applications (RFA) were published starting January 5, 2026, with public meetings held in January 2026. A 30-day public comment period for the FY 2026 Action Plan ran from May 21, 2026, to June 22, 2026. A scrivener's error regarding the Allapattah community resource center facility improvement was corrected from District 2 to District 3.
