RESOLUTION DIRECTING TO ALLOCATE AND DISBURSE A GRANT TO OBA

Miami-Dade County is directing the allocation and disbursement of a grant up to $26,124.00 to Overtown Business Association, Inc. (OBA) for structural improvements at 1119 NW 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida. The improvements include the installation of flooring and an audio system, intended to support six to eight businesses. The funds are from the Overtown trust fund, established by Resolution No. R-860-13. OBA has also secured $700,000.00 in private funding from Allegany Franciscan Ministries. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor or designee to execute a grant agreement with OBA. The Housing Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
