Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to amend Resolution No. R-38-26. This amendment will approve and authorize the County Mayor or designee to execute a Revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) and the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County (PAMDC). The original MOA, approved on January 21, 2026, allowed for the sharing of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) participant address and landlord information. The Revised MOA clarifies and expands the categories of documents and information HCD will provide to PAMDC, specifies required documentation, timelines, and transmission formats, and revises the hold harmless and indemnification section. It also incorporates legal opinions from HUD's Office of General Counsel and relevant HUD directives. The purpose is to aid property assessment and compliance by sharing limited HCV program data while safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. The Housing Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 9, 2026. The BCC agenda date is July 21, 2026.
