SECOND AMENDMENT TO 1109 NE 2 AVE LLC GANT

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to approve a second amendment to a grant agreement with 1109 NW 2nd Ave LLC. This amendment will increase the grant amount from $8,600,000.00 to $12,957,876.00. The funds are for the acquisition and development of properties in the Overtown area, specifically for affordable housing and commercial development. An additional $4,357,876.00 will be disbursed from the Overtown trust fund. The Housing Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The grant agreement was initially authorized on May 7, 2024, with an initial disbursement of $4,000,000.00, and a first amendment on July 16, 2025, added $4,600,000.00 and extended the term to September 30, 2027.
