Miami-Dade County is seeking authorization to receive and expend $62,512,577.00 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fiscal Year 2025 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program funds for homeless housing and services. This includes entering into renewal grant and sub-grant agreements and exercising modification, renewal, termination, and cancellation clauses. The resolution waives a previous requirement for all non-county parties to finalize and execute agreements before they are finalized, to expedite contract renewals. The funds are for Calendar Year 2026 and will be used to reimburse non-profit providers and select municipalities for expenses. The Homeless Trust Board approved these matters on multiple dates in 2024 and 2026. The Housing Committee forwarded the resolution to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation as corrected, noting a scrivener's error in a referenced resolution number.
