Miami-Dade County is seeking authorization to receive and expend $62,512,577.00 in United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Fiscal Year 2025 Continuum of Care Program funds for homeless housing and services. This includes entering into renewal grant and sub-grant agreements and waiving a resolution requiring agreements to be finalized by all non-county parties to expedite the process. The Housing Committee forwarded the resolution to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation as corrected. A scrivener's error was noted and corrected regarding a resolution reference. The Homeless Trust Board approved the matters on multiple dates. The resolution authorizes the County Mayor or designee to receive and expend funds, execute renewal grant and sub-recipient agreements, and exercise modification, termination, and renewal clauses. The waiver of Resolution No. R-130-06 is to expedite negotiations with housing and service agencies.
