Miami-Dade County is establishing Prequalification Pool No. EVN0025344 for Hydraulic Parts, Supplies, and Repair Services. The pool has an allocation of $31,400,591.00 for an eight-year term and will serve multiple County departments. The purpose is to provide timely access to qualified vendors for ongoing maintenance and repair operations of County equipment and fleet, including light and heavy-duty vehicles and hydraulically operated machinery. The pool will be structured into two groups: Group 1 for Hydraulic Parts and Supplies, and Group 2 for Hydraulic Repair Services. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. Seven vendors are recommended for inclusion in the pool, with six being local firms and two of those being certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms. The pool will remain open for additional vendors to be added. The total allocation is an increase from the previous pool due to higher demand, inflationary adjustments, and the need to replace aging parts. Specific departmental allocations are detailed, with the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) receiving the largest share due to expanded operational demands and the planned opening of the South Dade Transit Operations Center. The County Mayor or designee will have delegated authority to award contracts, with awards exceeding $5,000,000 (or $1,500,000 for Miami-Dade Aviation Department) requiring BCC ratification.
