Miami-Dade County is seeking to authorize additional expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-02111, Petroleum Products. The request is for an additional $4,343,737.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $17,454,937.00. This pool is for multiple county departments and supports the purchase of petroleum products essential for the maintenance and operation of County vehicles, transit buses, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) requests $2,269,024, the People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) requests $1,620,000, and the Water and Sewer Department (WASD) requests $454,713. The pool was originally approved on March 1, 2023, for a five-year term and expires on February 29, 2028. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The BCC is scheduled to consider this item on July 21, 2026.
