Miami-Dade County is seeking to increase expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-02111, Petroleum Products, by an additional $4,343,737.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $17,454,937.00. This pool is for multiple County departments and supports the purchase of various petroleum products essential for maintaining County vehicles, transit buses, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) requests $2,269,024, the People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) requests $1,620,000, and the Water and Sewer Department (WASD) requests $454,713. The pool was initially approved on March 1, 2023, for a five-year term and expires on February 29, 2028. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation on June 10, 2026. The BCC is scheduled to review this on July 21, 2026.
