Miami-Dade County is seeking to increase expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-02111, which covers petroleum products for multiple county departments. The proposed additional expenditure authority is $4,343,737.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $17,454,937.00. This pool supports the operational readiness of departments by ensuring they have necessary petroleum products for vehicles, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) requires an additional $2,269,024 for fleet maintenance. The People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) needs $1,620,000 to sustain fleet and facility operations. The Water and Sewer Department (WASD) requests $454,713 to maintain inventory for critical water and wastewater infrastructure. The pool was initially approved on March 1, 2023, for a five-year term and expires on February 29, 2028. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation on June 10, 2026. The BCC is scheduled to consider this item on July 21, 2026.
