Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to grant a non-exclusive underground utility easement to Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) within Zoo Miami. This easement is for the installation of underground facilities to support the new Zoo Miami Animal Hospital. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. FPL will pay $10.00 for the easement and will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the underground electrical service utility facilities. The easement area is approximately 15 feet by 15 feet.
