Miami-Dade County Commissioners adopted the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget for the Florida City Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the Florida City Community Redevelopment Area. The total budget is $16,131,007. Key expenditures include $9,050,000 for building and construction improvements, such as renovations to the Pioneer Museum and Depot Building, construction of a new museum building, and site improvements for the Cultural Center Plaza. Other allocations are for land acquisition, demolition, relocation, contingency reserves, community policing, infrastructure improvements, assistance to non-profit organizations, housing reconstruction, and commercial building grants. The CRA's funding source is tax increment financing (TIF). The budget was adopted by the Agency and the City of Florida City prior to this approval.
