Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution rejecting all bids for Invitation to Bid No. EVN0031348, a Microsoft Software Licensing Solution Partner for the Communications, Information and Technology Department. The rejection was due to evolved operational needs and a shift towards cloud infrastructure, making the renewal option of the existing contract a better fit. The existing contract, valued at $48,000,000, expires May 31, 2026, and exercising the option to renew would extend it to May 31, 2029. Seven bids were received from Arif International Corporation, CDW Government LLC, Crayon Software Express LLC, Guidepoint Security LLC, Insight Public Sector, SHI International Corp, and Softchoice Corporation. SHI International Corp and another bidder were deemed non-responsive. A separate agenda item was presented to approve exercising the option to renew the existing contract.
