This ordinance amends Section 2-11.38 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to require the Clerk of the Board to notify County Commissioners whenever any position on a County board becomes vacant. Previously, notification was only required for specific circumstances. The amendment ensures County Commissioners are informed of all vacancies, whether for individually appointed positions or those appointed by the full Commission. A quarterly report of all current vacancies will also be provided to each County Commissioner. The ordinance was introduced on April 10, 2026, and adopted on May 5, 2026.
