CDMP APPLICATION RE UDB TEXT AMENDMENT

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is directing the County Mayor or designee to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). The amendment will address the use of text amendments to facilitate urban land uses on property outside the Urban Development Boundary (UDB), without expanding the UDB or amending the Land Use Plan (LUP) map. The application must include provisions for demonstrating need, avoiding sprawl, and mitigating loss of agricultural or environmentally-sensitive lands. It should also provide flexibility for text amendments in certain Urban Expansion Areas. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded this to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on 6/10/2026.
