Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners rejected all proposals for Request for Proposals No. EVN0001148, Fare Collection Application, for the Department of Transportation and Public Works. The rejection was recommended to allow for updates to the RFP to provide further clarity on the evaluation process and assure a best value contract. A new RFP with revisions will be advertised. The original contract was intended to replace Contract No. L8481-0/27, valued at $31,671,329, expiring January 31, 2028. Revisions will address subcontracting restrictions with Genfare, LLC, ambiguity in the number of proposers for oral presentations, and pricing for optional items. Nine proposals were received on August 29, 2025. The decision to reject all proposals was made due to numerous objections from multiple proposers and ambiguities identified during the evaluation process.
