Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners rejected all proposals for a Fare Collection Application (FCA) for the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) under Request for Proposals No. EVN0001148. The rejection was recommended to allow for updates to the RFP, including clarifying language on subcontracting restrictions, the number of firms for oral presentations, pricing submission requirements for optional items, and the methodology for evaluating pricing. A new RFP with revisions will be advertised. The original contract was intended to replace Contract No. L8481-0/27, valued at $31,671,329, which expires on January 31, 2028. Nine proposals were received on August 29, 2025. Objections from multiple proposers during the evaluation phase led to the recommendation for rejection. The scope is countywide. There is no fiscal impact from the rejection.
