Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners is considering the amended Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget for the Omni Community Redevelopment Agency and Area. The total amended budget is $73,064,289.00. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The budget includes various funding sources such as County TIF, City TIF, carryover funds, Children's Trust TIF, and other income. Expenditures cover administrative costs, operating expenses, professional services, grants, debt service, land acquisition, construction projects in progress, obligations with other governments (including Performing Arts Center, Seaport tunnel, Children's programs, and Maurice Ferre Park), and reserves. The redevelopment area is located within County Commission Districts 3 and 5. The Agency and redevelopment area are scheduled to sunset in 2047. The Board previously approved amendments to the interlocal agreement and extended the life of the agency and area. A $150 million bond for projects within the redevelopment plan is pending Board approval.
