Miami-Dade County is holding a countywide special election on November 3, 2026, to vote on amending the Home Rule Charter, Article 7, to expand allowable advertising within parks. Currently, advertising is permitted only in connection with sponsorship of events or facilities, provided it is compatible with the park and does not unreasonably impair public use or damage the park. The proposed amendment seeks to remove the sponsorship requirement, allowing for more revenue-generating advertising, with all revenue to be used exclusively for the park where it occurs.
