Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is rejecting all proposals for the Landfill Gas Conversion Project, RFP No. EVN0019329, for the Department of Solid Waste Management. All five proposals received were deemed non-responsive by the County Attorney's Office. The county plans to resolicit, likely focusing only on the South Dade Landfill site as the North Dade Landfill was found not viable. The project involves designing, building, financing, operating, and maintaining a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) system. The estimated cost for developers to design and build each facility was over $30,000,000. The county will seek market feedback before reissuing the solicitation.
