FIND WAP GRANT APPLICATION FOR MARINE VESSEL PURCHASE

Miami-Dade County is authorized to apply for Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) Waterway Assistance Program grant funding, up to $45,000.00, to purchase a waterway maintenance vessel for marine debris removal in Biscayne Bay and its tidal tributaries. The County will also disburse up to $45,000.00 from its Biscayne Bay Environmental Enhancement Trust Fund as a matching fund for the vessel purchase. The total estimated project cost is $90,000.00. The vessel will be used by the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM). The resolution was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners.
