Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-363-26, authorizing the funding of 27 grants totaling $850,000.00 for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids Grants Program. The program aims to provide underserved children with access to cultural arts or science summer camps. Funding was allocated from The Children's Trust ($825,000) and the General Fund ($25,000). No applications were received for work in Commission Districts 10 or 13, and one applicant in District 12 did not meet the scoring threshold. The resolution waives requirements of Resolution No. R-130-06 to expedite funding. Grant agreements will be executed by the County Mayor or designee. The Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids Grants Panel and the Cultural Affairs Council reviewed and recommended the funding.
