Miami-Dade County is approving an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. This agreement involves Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029) for services provided by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC). Broward County will manage and supervise the ISC on behalf of all four counties. The agreement aims to continue coordinated efforts to address climate change impacts and enhance regional resilience. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation.
