AGREEMENT WITH DHS - TRAIL GLADES
Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee · 2026-07-14 · resolution
Miami-Dade County is seeking to ratify an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) for the use of Trail Glades Range facilities for training purposes. The agreement is for a one-year term with an estimated payment of $216,320.00. The Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will oversee compliance. The agreement allows CBP to utilize ranges, classroom space, restrooms, parking areas, and an open field for quarterly training and firearms qualifications, including advanced enforcement and Special Response Team training. The Board of County Commissioners is authorized to execute this agreement and delegate authority for future similar agreements, provided they do not have a negative fiscal impact on the County.
