AGREEMENT WITH DHS - TRAIL GLADES

Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee · 2026-07-14 · resolution

Miami-Dade County is seeking to ratify an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for the use of Trail Glades Range facilities for training purposes. The agreement is for a one-year term with an estimated payment of $216,320.00. The Board of County Commissioners is being asked to approve this agreement, which has already been utilized by CBP since 2010. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The agreement allows CBP to use ranges, classroom space, restrooms, parking areas, and an open field for training operations, including advanced enforcement and Special Response Team training. The Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will oversee compliance.
