EEL OPTION TO PURCHASE SOUTH DADE WETLANDS

Miami-Dade County is accepting an Assignment of Option to Purchase approximately 10 acres within the Environmentally Endangered Lands Program South Dade Wetlands Project. The property is being sold by Timothy H. Noto and Ellen C. Noto, as Personal Representatives of the Estate of Rachel M. Noto, for $3,500,000.00. The purchase is funded by Building Better Communities General Obligation Bond funds. The Nature Conservancy acted as assignor, and Miami-Dade County as assignee. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded the item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The BCC is scheduled to consider this item on September 1, 2026.
