Miami-Dade County, acting as fiscal agent for the South Florida Cultural Consortium, is approving 19 grant award agreements totaling $285,000.00 for the FY 2025-2026 Visual and Media Artists Grant Program. Of this total, $165,000.00 is allocated on behalf of Miami-Dade County. The grants are awarded to South Florida artists selected through a competitive process involving regional and national art experts. The Board of County Commissioners is authorizing the County Mayor or designee to execute these grant agreements and is waiving Resolution R-130-06 to expedite funding. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
