Miami-Dade County is approving 19 grant award agreements totaling $285,000.00 for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Visual and Media Artists Grant Program, with $165,000.00 allocated on behalf of Miami-Dade County. The South Florida Cultural Consortium, an alliance of cultural affairs departments from Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties, recommended these grants after a review of 339 applications by expert panels. The Board of County Commissioners is waiving Resolution R-130-06 to expedite funding. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation on July 14, 2026. The Board is scheduled to consider this on September 1, 2026.
