Miami-Dade County is approving 19 grant award agreements totaling $285,000.00 for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Visual and Media Artists Grant Program. Of this total, $165,000.00 is allocated on behalf of Miami-Dade County. The grants are awarded by the South Florida Cultural Consortium, an alliance of cultural affairs departments from Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties. The awards were recommended by regional and national panels of art experts after reviewing 339 applications. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute these grant agreements. Resolution No. R-130-06, requiring non-County parties to execute agreements before Board submission, is being waived to expedite funding. The process involves a 'dual track' approach to save time for individual artists.
