Miami-Dade County is approving 19 grant award agreements totaling $285,000.00 for the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Visual and Media Artists Grant Program. Of this amount, $165,000.00 is allocated on behalf of Miami-Dade County. The grants are awarded to South Florida artists through the South Florida Cultural Consortium, an alliance of cultural affairs departments from Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties. The selection process involved regional and national panels reviewing 339 applications. The Board of County Commissioners is recommended to approve these agreements and waive Resolution No. R-130-06 to expedite funding. The Department of Cultural Affairs administers the program and serves as fiscal agent.
