PHT MDFR MOU

Safety and Health Committee · 2026-06-08 · resolution

Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue Department (MDFR) and The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (operating Jackson Health System) are entering into a no-cost Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Advance Tactical Medical (ATM) Training for all MDFR paramedics. The training will occur at the Ryder Trama Center and includes classroom education, cadaver workshops, and hands-on patient care with trauma teams. Priority will be given to members of Urban Search and Rescue Florida Task Force 1 and those assigned to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Special Response Team. The MOU is for an initial five-year term with two five-year options to renew. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
