Miami-Dade County is declaring certain firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to Vinícola Del Norte S.A. in the Dominican Republic. The equipment, consisting of 35 coats, 35 pants, 35 hoods, 35 sets of gloves, 35 pairs of boots, 35 helmets, and 35 ear flaps, is deemed obsolete and cannot be used by local county departments, municipalities, or eligible community-based organizations. The resolution requires a two-thirds vote to waive standard surplus property disposition procedures. The Donee must take possession within 90 days, or the resolution becomes void. The estimated value of the equipment is $7,587.50. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
