Miami-Dade County is declaring certain firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to Vinícola Del Norte S.A. in the Dominican Republic. The equipment, consisting of 35 coats, 35 pants, 35 hoods, 35 sets of gloves, 35 pairs of boots, 35 helmets, and 35 ear flaps, is deemed obsolete and cannot be legally used by other County departments, municipalities, or eligible community-based organizations. The resolution requires a two-thirds vote to waive standard surplus property disposition procedures. The recipient must take possession within 90 days, covering all transfer costs.
