RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement for the exchange of land parcels. The County will convey 48,456 square feet (portion of Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010, located at 1851 NW 9th Avenue, Miami) to the College. In exchange, the College will convey 48,102 square feet (portion of Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010, located at 1000 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami) to the County for use by the Public Health Trust. Key changes include removing the condition that the Public Health Trust complete environmental remediation and obtain a No Further Action Letter before closing, modifying environmental remediation provisions, adjusting the closing date definition, and establishing post-closing cooperation for information exchange. The original agreement was approved on December 3, 2024, and became effective January 6, 2025. This amendment was introduced on July 7, 2026, and approved by the Safety and Health Committee on July 13, 2026, with a final agenda date of September 1, 2026.
