RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the first amendment to a land exchange agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies conditions related to environmental remediation and closing dates for the exchange of two parcels. The original land exchange, approved in December 2024, involved the Public Health Trust acquiring land for its new Emergency Department expansion. The amendment removes the requirement for the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM as a closing condition, modifies environmental remediation provisions, and adjusts the closing date definition. The Public Health Trust and the College will cooperate post-closing to exchange information regarding pre-closing environmental remediation and replat efforts. The Safety and Health Committee recommended forwarding the resolution with amendments.
