Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement, primarily by removing the condition that the Public Health Trust obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM for environmental remediation on the County Parcel. Instead, the Public Health Trust has remediated the County Parcel to an acceptable condition, and parties will continue groundwater monitoring post-closing. The amendment also revises the closing date definition and adds provisions for post-closing cooperation on information exchange. This facilitates the closing of the exchange so the College Parcel can support the Public Health Trust's new Emergency Department project.
